Belarus is ready to take mutually beneficial trade and economic relations with Irkutsk Oblast to the next level. Belarus is ready to implement new joint projects. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the relevant statement as he met with Governor of Russia's Irkutsk Oblast Sergei Levchenko on 15 November, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko said: We are ready to considerably increase mutual trade figures.

Belarus points out an important role of Egypt in the settlement of the situation in the region, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Ali Abdel-Aal Sayed, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Egypt, who is on a visit to Belarus, on 15 November, BelTA informs.

The head of state emphasized that the Belarusian side pays much attention to the cooperation with Egypt, especially in the context of international relations.

Creating a favorable business environment will be a high priority in the economic policy of the government. Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas made the statement during the opening ceremony of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEF Belarus) on 12 November, BelTA has learned.

Sergei Rumas said: In practical sense the state has taken serious steps to support the private sector.

Belarus' accession to the World Trade Organization is an important move, Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization Alan Wolff said as he met with Belarus' Economy Minister Dmitry Krutoi on 8 November, BelTA has learned from the Economy Ministry.

Dmitry Krutoi updated the WTO representative on the work done to prepare Belarus for the WTO accession.

A joint session of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council, the CSTO Defense Ministers Council and the CSTO Committee of Security Councils' Secretaries is in progress in Astana, BelTA has learned.

The participants of the session are to discuss over twenty issues, with 15 of them to be forwarded to the heads of state. The heads of the CSTO participating countries will hold talks in Kazakhstan's capital city in the second half of the day.

The Belarusian government will work on decriminalizing economic risks. First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin made the statement during the KEF 2018 forum in Minsk on 5 November, BelTA has learned.

The official said: I hope we will soon put the matter to rest in rescinding presidential decree No.488 [on pseudo-entrepreneurship]. After that we will start discussing the problem.

The program to guide actions of the Belarusian government in 2018-2020 has been approved by the Council of Ministers' resolution No.774 of 31 October 2018, BelTA has learned.

The document is compliant with priorities, goals, and tasks stipulated by Belarus' social and economic development program for 2016-2020. It also includes tasks set by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko in his address to the nation and the parliament on 24 April 2018.

Despite all kinds of views in the democratic Armenia, Belarus has always been and will be your good and reliable friend. We both work in the common economic space our Eurasian Union and the CSTO military and political bloc.

There is always huge social demand for justice, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko emphasized as he met with activists of the BRSM Youth Union, the organization that continues traditions of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (Komsomol), on 29 October, BelTA has learned.

The head of state illustrated his point by the example of recent opinion polls in Russia that revealed that justice was the top priority for people.

The adoption of digital technologies will ensure more effective operation of the real sector of the national economy. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement as he received a report from First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin on 25 October, BelTA has learned.

The development of the IT sphere and the introduction of digital technologies in the national economy and the country as a whole were discussed during the meeting.
