More than a thousand residents of the Minsk region will take part in the festival "Karagod syabro"

More than a thousand residents of the Minsk region will take part in the 10th regional festival of choreographic art "Karagod syabro", which will be held on April 14 in Kletsk, BelTA learned from the Minsk Regional Center of Folk Art.

All genres and directions of choreographic art will be presented at the festival: stylized folk, classical, ball, modern, variety, story dances. There will also be a contest among ensembles of majorets. This year, 49 choreographic collectives from 17 districts of the Minsk region will take part in the competition program of the festival, more than a thousand participants.

Performances of the contestants will be evaluated by the jury of the festival, which will be headed by the first vice-rector of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, Natalia Karchevskaya. The winners will receive special diplomas and valuable gifts.

The festival of choreographic art is held in the region since 1996. At first it was a holiday - the competition of amateur ballet groups in Borisov, later it moved to Vileika and was named "Kryshtalev abcasik". As the festival "Karagod syabro" has been held since 2000. Since 2003, he established himself in Kletsk, who will hospitably take part in the festival for the tenth time. Compared to the IX festival, the number of participants has significantly increased: in 2015, the competition program "Karagoda sabro" was performed by 27 dance groups from 15 districts of the region.
